Ameriloan - SHAME ON YOU!
As referenced earlier, I have had intimate experiences with Payday Loans. I have used them and abused them. And...
it would appear sometimes they just don't go away. Even when they are paid off.
I received an unusual computer generated voicemail leaving only an 800 phone number. So I decided to call it back.
Come to find out, it was Ameriloan. After much fumbling around by the person who answered the phone, she said I still
owed them money from a payday loan 2 years ago.
This call really torqued me off because I thought I had be the issue to rest back in January 2007. It seems that
Ameriloan may have record keeping troubles. You see, the online payday loan they
were trying to collection on had been paid and I had since gotten another loan from them and paid that one off too.
My contention was and still is this: Why would you grant me a new payday loan before an old loan was paid off? I
asked them to email me proof I still owed them the money.
Moral of the Payday Loan Story?
Keep all your payday loan paperwork and emails pertaining to your payday loans. You never know when you will need them.
